Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)
The University of Miami is accepting applications for a tenure-track, faculty position at the assistant professor level in the Department of Health Sector Management and Policy (HSMP) at the Miami Business School. HSMP has undergraduate, Master of Health Administration (MHA), and executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. The University of Miami is a private research university with more than 16,000 students and 14,000 faculty and staff involved in research, teaching, and service. The University’s main campus in suburban Coral Gables is home to 11 Schools and Colleges.
The HSMP department at the Miami Business School is seeking applicants with experience in the broadly-defined area of Health Sector Management and Policy. Applications will be accepted at the assistant professor level with employment commencing Fall 2018. The position is open to those candidates who are either focused on the general area of health care management and policy, or have applied a functional area (e.g., Finance, Economics, Accounting, Quality Improvement, Information Technology, etc.) to the health care industry. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Health Services Research, Health Policy, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. The successful candidate will develop and/or maintain an active research agenda leading to scholarly publications in “A” level journals. Teaching and service appropriate to rank will be expected. The Miami Business School is active in undergraduate and graduate teaching, with classes held 7 days a week.
