We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 7th Annual Conference of the American Society of Health Economists. The conference will be hosted by the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, GA from June 10-13, 2018. The theme of this year’s conference is Economics and Public Health and aims to provide a forum for emerging ideas and empirical results of health economics research to be showcased and discussed.

Student Mentoring Lunch
Sunday, June 10th, 11:30am – 1:00pmASHEcon will be offering a mentoring lunching geared toward graduate students as part of our 2018 conference. Senior economists will interact with students through semi-structured “speed-mentoring” meetings to answer questions on topics such as publishing, teaching, grant writing, networking, job search, career paths, and the tenure process.  This session is limited to students and advanced registration is required. You will have the opportunity during the registration process to add the pre-conference events to your registration.Pre-Conference Workshop – Teaching Health Economics

Sunday, June 10th, 1:00pm – 4:30pmThis half-day workshop will provide an introduction to the research databases at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).  In particular, the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) and the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) will be described with specific applications to health economics research.  Advanced registration is required. You will have the opportunity during the registration process to add the pre-conference events to your registration.Opening Plenary

Hotel & Travel Information 

The 2018 Annual Conference will be held at the Emory Conference Center Hotel and Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta, GA. The Emory University campus is located in the historic Druid Hills neighborhood, a beautiful community with dining and shopping districts just minutes from downtown Atlanta. The hotel desk can be reached at (404) 712-6000.

ASHEcon has a room block rate at the Emory Conference Center Hotel. The rate is $172 per night + taxes and fees. The room block rate will be available until May 25, 2018.
